Area Manager, Southern Europe

At Proposales, we're bringing the modern way of sending proposals to hotels and their sales teams. We’re on an ambitious journey to win the Southern European market, and we’re looking for an Area Manager with a “hunter” mentality, underpinned by a highly humble approach to join our growing Sales Team in Amsterdam. 

You'll play a pivotal role in helping us grow our customer base in the Southern European region and throughout Europe. Your role is to use inbound selling strategies to find new hotels and chains in Europe and help them solve their challenges using Proposales. Using strong consultative selling skills, you will balance contacting warm inbound leads and driving self-sourced leads for your pipeline while also benefiting from partnering with an SDR to research prospects and create outreach strategies.

Your mission: 

  • Based within our Sales Team, you’ll work with your teammates and the wider RevOps Team to develop and execute go to market strategies to ensure we continue to hit repeatable, scalable and consistent growth.
  • Identify and source well-qualified prospects and guide them through our sales funnel to close deals and keep them close to use as advocates of Proposales. 
  • Manage simultaneous conversations with multiple stakeholders across long and short sales cycles. Fully understand and building a network of trust with the rights stakeholders in your area to help them innovate and grow.

A bit about the role:

  • Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey to help them learn how Proposales can evolve their sales team and strategy
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential customers
  • Close business with new and existing customers at or above quota level
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Team and wider RevOps Team to evolve our sales strategy when new features and products are introduced 
  • Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance Proposales’ values, unique culture, and vision for the future.

About you:

  • You’ve previous sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • You have a good understanding of the sales process, keep your pipeline consistently up to date and know how to act throughout every step of the funnel to optimise your efforts and probabilities of every stage. 
  • You have analytical skills to project new business forecasts on a month to month basis.   
  • You’ll have an innate sense of curiosity. You’ll address issues and challenges openly, and thoughtfully, and you’ll understand the impact of your work on the wider team
  • Exceptional communication skills. You’ll be persuasive, professional and adept at engaging with high-level external stakeholders through presentations, verbal and written platforms
  • A technical mindset, you’ll pick up our tech quickly and be able to explain it fluently to our target customers
  • You’re charismatic, customer focussed, positive, influencing and engaging. You’ll also display tenacity, resilience and diplomacy
  • You’ve got a positive outlook and a strong ability to take responsibility for your successes and failures
  • You’ve got a sharp focus on your goals and a belief that daily, weekly and monthly activities will help achieve them
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in both verbal and written English and at least one Southern European language (Italian, Spanish or Portuguese).
