FAQ

It depends on how far you make it in our process. If we determine early that you are not the candidate we’re looking for, we’ll let you know within 1-2 weeks of submitting your application. It generally takes 3-4 weeks for candidates that make it all the way through our process.
-
Sometimes our recruitment process can take a bit longer. We have several steps in our process that require independent work from the candidate and work by our team to review. While this adds time to the process, the process is designed to ensure we get the right fit for the role and exposes the candidate to some elements of how we work. Regardless of the time it takes, we work hard with a small team, to respond as quickly as possible to each candidate that applies.
-
We're always looking to improve our recruitment efforts so the steps may sometimes vary as we try new workflows.
To ensure uniformity, all candidates that apply for the same role have the exact same steps in our work flow. However, if a candidate applies for two different roles the steps they are involved in might differ a bit as we try new things.
We’ve summarised the seven most common steps in our process below. At each stage, we review the candidate's submissions and interactions to determine if it makes sense to invite the candidate to move to the next stage in our process.- Psychometric tests: to remove bias in the selection process & giving all applicants the same opportunity, candidates are asked to take a personality & logic ability test via our partner Alva Labs. This takes in total ca 30 mins to complete.
- Review: we review applications to screen for a variety of criterias
- Screening call: we conduct a short call to discuss your skills, the specific role, and Proposales in general
- Interview: we conduct online or in person interviews (depending on the nature of the role or location) to get to know you better. You’ll meet your potential manager and another team-mate.
- Assignment: finalists complete an assignment carefully crafted by the team, which simulates a real on-the-job challenge
- References: all we need from you here is two references that you've worked with previously, and their contact details
- Offer
After completing the assignment, candidates present their findings in a video call with our team. Prior to the offer stage, if you haven’t met someone for the leadership group as part of the recruitment process, a short call with someone from our leadership group is held.

"Follow the Brains. Follow the Customers." is the foundation of Proposales workplace framework. Our vision is to operate on a distributed "hybrid workplace" model, spread throughout Europe to cast a wide net across a multitude of locations. Our aim is to offer as much flexibility as possible to support individual work styles, while balancing business needs, and ensuring we live our culture.
The workplace model is broken down into two categories, hub-based and nomad workplace. Which categorisation someone is in is based on the nature of the role, team and personal circumstances.
Hub-based individuals' main place of work is in one of Proposales' office spaces. Team members working from a hub have a desk and full equipment set up in the hub they are assigned to. Hub-based individuals can spend half of their working hours out of the office and can receive approval from their manager for more.
Nomad, simply means fully remote. Nomad individuals work out of a variety of settings (e.g. home environments, co-working locations and coffee shops). Nomad team members do not have an assigned desk in one of the hubs, however, spaces will be made available if they decide to pay one of the hubs a visit. -
All roles at Proposales are based in European time zones because we collaborate so much. If you are not physically in the time zones advertised for a role please do not apply for the role. We won’t be able to consider your application.
People reach out all the time offering to work the hours consistent with a European time zone, however, we will not be able to consider you if you are not in the region already or have plans to leave that region. We've had team members try this and it has not worked long term. We've found it to have too much impact on a healthy work-life balance. -
At this time we are only able to provide official employment status to those located in Sweden. All other candidates join our team via a third party Global HR solutions.
